Money is worth less now. People have an “f/it” attitude toward what things cost. Tipping is thumbing their nose to your price.

I get quite a few tips. Not uncommon on a small job that they will slip me an extra twenty. Larger jobs, it's often a fifty. I don't use a pos device but those that do often include a tip option and find that prompted like that, customers will tip more often.

Attitudes from service people in most all fields are crappy, and customer service as any kind of concept is becoming a thing of the past.

When people meet anyone who is cheerful and pleasant, they are more likely to tip them because it is a refreshing experience in this wasteland of resentment and ennui we now live in.

Im getting more because it offers tip option with email invoice. That did make a difference for sure. A lot of my repeats are no tippers, but good as gold.

tip option on your invoice? ehhhhhhhhhhh

Seems uncouth to me. But then again I don't get all that many tips so what do I know?

We (two man crew) probably get a $20 tip to split a couple times a week. A great tip is $20 a piece. We recently got $50 per person on a decent sized job. It was like Christmas.

Or we already charge plenty and don't shove a gauche tip screen in the customer's face while awkwardly standing right in front of them.

Who's to say?
I prefer, and get a shit load of cash tips.

Not my style. Thought it was cheesy. But I'm not gonna fight it. I told you I don't upsell anything and (try) to go above and beyond. Discounts when I think it really matters to the client. My wife smacks me but knows she can't fire me so I still do it. But Im riding this one for the rest of my journey. They can always hit NO. (or %10, %20, custom). And %20 is usually on the BIG tickets. They love the miles, lol.

Also, just happened. For the second time in my career I had to make the phone call and tell them the next call was going to small claims court since customer was not responding to invoices and calls.
The next morning, ding, payment came in from him with a $77 tip. I LOVE the tip option and proud of the tips that come with it.

My tips decreased as my prices increased.

I rarely get tips but the customers love me for obvious reasons.

When my kid works with me, he gets lots of tips.

tips are a totally foreign concept here, so though I do get the odd extra $20 thrown in, it's more common to find a six pack or bottle of wine on front seat of the van

Less change in tipping, more in size of job. We’ve seen a huge increase in full day/half day jobs as opposed to minimum services.
That's what I'm experiencing too.

I raises my prices quite a bit. Lost a lot of apartments and smaller jobs.

Some new start ups have picked up a lit of that but I've had 4 projects going at the sane time.
