it used to be cast when it first came out. Now I think elves make them at night.

I believe it to be cast. The internal shape of the PC Ti head would not be possible to forge unless it was done in two pieces and then welded together, and then machined to clean up the two pieces and eliminate the the welds to give it a one piece construction look.
This is my best guess.

I "think" Ti is too brittle to be easily stamped ??
and way too much work/expense involved to be forged..(and way overkill too)
