Glad I have some resources behind me as it's turned into the worst January in my 20 year history with my business. Last January my sales were around 4 k - not great, but the bills were covered- fast forward to this year and its sitting at 1200 so far for the month with diddly squat on the books.:eekk: Taxes just got paid, workers comp done, everything is taken care of. Im hitting the streets today to do a little cold calling followed by some calls to property managers to see if I can loosen some purse strings and hoping for an early spring. This is just plain weird. If it keeps up I guess i need to reach into the treasure chest to keep the flow up. Hows your January doing.....

Our January has been horrible thus far. But considering what we've been going through it a good thing in a way, in that I am freed up to take care of George and a lot of other stuff. However the financial ramifications aren't so great.
I've been doing some minor things to prepare for next month and just using this time to get other stuff done that has been on the back burner.

Were swamped... 16 clients this month, same as last year & happy to have them. Money wise, up a little.

Winter has been much warmer than last year. If it stays like this in Feb, March should be good/great.

I'm off til Friday... Daddy flipping daycare around here!

I know a few people that are in the same boat. Slow January but hoping it picks up. A few of them though have been successful in getting some Low Moisture work to offset the difference.

Anybody trying any Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning?

When we owned our cleaning business we were successful using this method bc it's quick, effective, and you can make good money.

It's pretty common now, Phil. Everybody does it now, dirt cheap.

I know in my area (60 mile radius from warehouse) up until about a year ago there was no one doing it all. Now there are about 5 or 6 that we sell to that say they are busy. We ship to a few nationally as well I knew that people were out there doing it.

What are you getting price wise for commercial and residential jobs?
