I was surprised I didn't get called back during desert Storm. Probably because of my heart condition.

The only good thing it ever did for me.

We use to clean the Coast Guard Station and houses in Ventura. They didn't ask for a low price. Charged regular square foot price.

They will probably want all insurance documents and MSDS for the chemicals you will be using. That's what they asked us for.

"We look for qualified Small and Disadvantaged Businesses when possible......." Well, yer a carpet cleaner so check that box. Juuuuust kidding..

Looks easy squeezy Mike, find out their insurance requirements. If they're higher limits then you have just get your insurance broker to quote you the difference. Then tell them you'll bump the insurance (with same day proof) when they approve your first invoice. Worked like a charm for me with McDonalds.

Price is on you. Hell I thought you were retired, not building an empire over the hill on the high chaparral. Give-em a "vailid for 90 days" price sheet or "subject to change" where you can make $150+/hr with your tired old retired body. Remember, these schmucks are just over paid property managers for uncle sam, nobody special at all. Not bad though, I'd drive 1/2hr to make that curb to curb all day.

Down here it's been about kick backs.... A local bigger company would give trips to Vegas to the project managers and HNIC's.... While it's frowned upon to give kick backs, it does go on...

Even worse with WDR.... Plumbers would get a minimum of $300 on gift cards... A friend of mine who's a plumber said they'd have WDR companies coming around saying they'll pay the plumber techs $300 cash.... Then after they get the job, they were given gift cards and told they can't give cash...

We know a guy who'd bid stuff cheap, but make a killing on "change orders"... There's all different types of ways to get more money from the gubbmint legally... Business is business... This other guy said the gubbmint pays for flea and tick treatment and because it's federal you don't need a pest control license... Federal has different laws... Spots bigger than a fist size gets $25 per spot on top of the job...

I put up some nice numbers too but it's not daily. More like occasionally.

We all lie, we just don't always realize it.

Were you able to bid at normal rate? My experience was they wanted good work and their people well taken care of. Wasn't about price.
