The reason a HF stops drawing cleaning solution is due to a couple of things. It could either be
blockage, the water nozzle corroded away at the end of the nib, filters, the one way ball valve, a blockage in the breath hole in the screw on lid, down sizing the jet to a smaller flow jet or the brass male quick connect.

It is all about water flow, the correct amount to cause a suction on the injector nozzle/nib.
This reduced water flow can be caused by some of the following:

1. Blockage- probably not the problem in your case Mikey as you say you have pressure coming out the jet.

2. Down sizing to a smaller size flow jet is a no, no -not the problem in your case as you said you have not changed it.

3. As the filters clog over they reduce the water flow. Some HF have two filters, one in the handle and one at the jet. Has yours got one or two filters? If it has two, clean the second filter.

4. The brass male quick connect can be a major, major issue in reducing water flow. With time the stainless balls in the female quick connect can indent in to the soft brass in the male quick connect. This in turn does not allow the seal pins in the both quick connects to push together as much. The result is a big drop off in water flow and the knock on effect is that the chemical draw does not work. What you can to to check if this is the cause, just try and turn the female quick connect a little so the stainless ball come out of the recessed indents and hopefully will find a high point on the male quick connect. OR just put on a new male quick connect.

5. The water nozzle/nib always corrodes away on the end. This could be a problem for you Mikey as you sure have tried some heavy duty stuff in your sprayer over the years.

6. Some chemicals with citrus boosters in them act as a solvent and o-rings hate solvents. What happens in the HF with citrus solvents is the o-ring swells up and grabs the ball that acts as a one way valve to stop back feeding into the container. But when it is grabbed it also does not let chemicals to lift up past the seized ball.

7. Check the breather hole in the top screw on lid. If it is all covered with dried out chemicals, it will not be able to suck in fresh air to stop a vacuum forming in the container as the chemical is drawn out. We do not want any vacuum in that container as the draw out vacuum created by the injector is not all that great to begin with. So lets not make it work against vacuum that we can cause in the container by not keeping that vent hole clear.

With what you have done so far in your diagnosis, may I suggest you firstly check that male quick connect. Then check the water nozzle/ nib. But that nib can actually cause more problems in trying to replace that, so go the q/c way first.

I replaced a hose on mine yesterday decided to put a new jet. it wouldn't draw.

Put old jet back on its fine.

It may have been blockage in breather hole.
