If no one else will admit to it, I will.

I have done that to many carpets. And I mean very many. It's funny to see some of the carpets I did 8-9 years ago with those impact marks and no one has ever complained, some even ask why I don't leave those marks any more.

When you don't know what you are doing and turn the pressure too high no your tm has blazing heat (Cobbs tm) that will happen every time with a classic 2 jet wand.

It is a high pressure with high heat that accomplishes those impact streaks. "Damage" is somewhat reversible.

A good heated RE pass, followed by some grooming will get most of it out.

Man, you are one lucky dude. My customers have always had me replace anything we damage.

Steam Way wand will do this with super high heat. I get it sometimes if set the wand down and get a heat spike.. I am sure that was caused by a K3 Flood jet.. Once it dries its pretty tough to improve Hoss or Rx20 might help

Need multi jet wand at least 4 jet
This happens when jets are clogged or 1-2 jet wand that doesn't have a glide and the jets need to be angled close to the glide....

I have seen this with my bane so high heat and pressure are not the real culprit.
I even called Bane about this issue and they had no clue.
I think its the type of fiber.
When I see this I have to keep my trigger hand up higher on my hip and lots of dry strokes to brush it out.
I would try to bonnet clean it and groom.

Is there a traditional Bane wand?

Never saw this with any of our many Bane wand, except when trash got lodged in the slot and let dirty streaks.
I only see It on certain fibers. Never in apartments.
You can see the streaks appear right under the jets about an inch wide. I just lift the handle higher and it goes away or gets good enough to dry stroke them out.
Sometimes changing directions changes it also. Ive assumed the grain makes a difference. Could be the twist maybe.
My fear would be high heat could set it if not brushed out quickly.

Steve Im guessing your jets are pointed straight down. Can the mounts/ manifold be adjusted to have them point at more of a 45 degree angle?

I have moved my jets around. I find the best position is hitting the carpet just under an inch from the wand.
The flow is 6. 3 x 11002
