I wouldn't be surprised if an air cooled Kohler would last longer on a Powermatic. That oil cooler (a copper tube that coils through the small fresh water tank) really does cool well. Years ago when the Powermatic had a temperature guage, the difference I noticed was about 30 degrees cooler than without the oil cooler.

the guys at the dealer were saying that 2000hrs is a long time for a air cooled engine.

I bought an oil cooler, I'll get it rigged up
