I have a 1999 Hydra Master CDS machine and I just discovered that the brass manifoild that is attached to the water pump has a leaky gasket.Water comes out in three different places. Oddly enough not while the machine is operating only when it's off.
My repair place told me that the gasket kit is over 200.- and the total repair is 380.-.
Yikes!!!
My question is.How often does that typically happen? Is there a way to prevent that from occurring?
The water that goes into the pump comes from my mix tank and I use Chemeister's Action Extraction as my rinse.
Sometimes I also use Prochem's Liquid Slurry or All Fiber Deep Clean and I have used a citus booster in my rinse on occasion which, I've since learned is a bad idea.
So since that pump always is exposed to the chemical in my rinse, is what I'm using OK or should I switch to something different?
I bought my truck used and I don't know if the seals have ever been replaced.Maybe it was just time ....
