P and I went up to The Lake for a look see..

IF the lake drained out, the water would cover the entire state of CA in 14"....


An underground room was created creek side to be able to watch the salmon spawn..

Salmon were going up stream here by this beaver pond like crazy..

Beaver action for Bawb..

and then this dude showed up..

I was ten feet away at times..





That guy with the big camera put it back up top his eye and didn't realize the damn bear was RIGHT in front of him, When he lowered the camera he dropped his cane and yelps...Barney then jumped back into the creek..lol

Wish I had filmed a few seconds longer...damnit.

The Donner party was camped on top of that lake while they ate each other, not realizing that delicious trout were swimming under what they thought was a frozen prairie.

Hey I just got a Note 5 yesterday.

Its Jim Martin approved. Jim showed me his at Mikeyfest in Aptos and so I asked him if he still liked it last week and he told me he now had the Note 5 and it was the best phone he ever had, so I got one.

Its a damn Phablet (bitch is big) but I do like it.

Everyone so far has. Dan made fun of me when I told him I wanted it. All the guys laughed at the size of it. My wife ragged me big time last night. She just laughed and said "what is that?"

I like the note part though. So as usual I just push on and pay no attention to them!

Got out for an afternoon hike


5 minutes from the home..

Had to wonder why this fence was here..

8 plot cemetery with a couple of dudes over 100 years old..

I was worried I'd have to truck my MTB up to Tahoe to find trails...this is 6 miles away..
