The heat should be the same with the 4.8 as with the 6.0---My thoughts anyway.

They are both producing about the same horsepower when powering the TM, I would guess 40-50 hp to cover the motor overhead and the drag from the TM.

Both motors are probably really close to the same efficiency at 40-50 hp load and burning about the same fuel. And creating about the same waste heat...

It is not the same as Choking down a slide in motor exhaust to make it work harder to make more heat.

But I honestly don't know Sh*t, I ride a bike mostly.

We've been using 4.8s with direct drives w/water tanks in all our vans for years.
Oh my god, what have I done?:eekk:

Ashley I reached out to Dave for info.
All they did was tweak the rpms up a bit. Think the lift was set low too.
His was first 1200 installed in 4.8.
You may have read the mega post about it couple yrs ago.

How is that old Faithful V doing?
Missed her last week doing commercial work.
