Any regular users here?

I used a lot of this back in the Coit days and don't remember it being so good. I imagine it's been reformulated.

Is it on par with CTI Pro Solve?

Is it a delimonine gel?
If so a little surprised at the w WoolSafe label. As my experience is that at times it will lighten wool's color.

I used to use it back in the day. It's tough to get out of the carpet! I never liked it at all. But then again, I never really liked any of the Chemspec products. I believe that product was one of Dr Aziz's creations from back when he was affiliated with Chemspec. Back in the 80's & 90's I used to use a lot of Prochem citrus gel, and it worked really well. CTI's Prosolve also performs better than the Chemspec gel.

It's tacky of Ruck to comment on another guys chems.

Tacky!

You're joking right?
1. We don't have a solvent in the Releasit product line, so my comments were not competitive.
2. My comment was based on user experience as a carpet cleaner, from MANY YEARS of experience using solvent gels. Commercial carpet cleaning calls for LOTS of gum removal!
3. I gave an endorsement to Prochem's gel, and I have no affiliation with Prochem at all.

So take it as it was intended. I simply gave an honest appraisal of a product that worked worse than others that I tried. :icon_rolleyes:

I was using most Chemspec Products back then and they were some of the very best. They probably still are from what I see. That is taking noting away from Prochem which were/are also good.

P.S. I never found any citrus gel that would bind tighter to the fiber than Chemspec and Fabro's citrus gel. They would leave a perma-stain on the carpet that was very hard to remove! Other products, including CTI's were much easier to remove from the commercial carpet that we cleaned. Prochem's was by far the easiest to remove from the fiber, and that's why we used that one the most. As a qualifier, I haven't used these products in the past few years so these companies may have updated their gels since I used them last. But this was my experience from when we used a lot of citrus gel in our commercial carpet cleaning business.

I used half a container chasing an idiot painter around the other day.

No issuesales. In fact I missed one spot with my wand and was able to blot up the dried gel with a very wet towle.

But, you can see why your comment could easily be taken the wrong way, as you do sell Pro-Solve.

it's usually just a good idea for mfg's/resellers/etc to stay out of a competing product's post's :)

Maybe they've improved it since when I used it a few years back.

As with any gel product, you must rinse away the product. LiquaGel is easy to rinse and one of the best gels on the market.

No, we're a CONSISTENT crowd. You've been told more times than I can count over the years that your comments about competitive products and equipment are considered to be in poor taste. Yet, you continue on. I can't speak for others, but I can tell you that it's cost you my business over the years. It's why I don't buy your juice. I bought my Cimex from you only because Jon-Don was my only other alternative. Same reason I buy my Cimex pads from you.

If Vacaway sold Cimex pads, you'd lose that business as well.

You don't come off as a good guy or friend. You only come here to sell.

In that vein, you'd be better off to just buy an ad and never open your mouth.

Liqua Gel is a great spotter!
My experience is much like yours, Mike. I have found that it rinses easier than prosolve.

Sorry you feel that way guys. I'm basically 2 people. Firstly I'm a carpet cleaner. I spent over 20 years in the trenches cleaning hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial carpet. Secondly I'm a supplier. The second profession grew directly from the first one. When I commented on this thread I was sharing my real life experience from using loads of citrus gel as a commercial carpet cleaner. It was not in any way intended to be a "supplier" related comment. But I guess I should probably just refrain from commenting on topics I'm familiar with (in this case using citrus gel). Not a problem.

Not condoning Rick's comments, but Pat commented on a product that he is a manufacturer's rep for in the same thread. Of course his comments were favorable. Sauce for the goose and all that?

Can't you keep your comments short and to the point?
