I've tried Rotobrite, many encaps, probably most out there but not in a couple of years and only a gallon at a time never gave them much of a chance. was always happy with certifieds

The common notion here is that Excellent supply, Vacaway and Surround all make good products.
Some are also happy with intelink's latest encap products.

Surround is the only one I am aware of that makes fragrance free one.

Did you know you can use chemspec's formula 90 for a bonnet cleaner? I think 0ne ounce to 5 gallons or so.
It dries into a powder (like expensive encap scampoos) and is easily vacuumed up.

You can also use BETCO's FIBERCAP MP.

Ah man JimMy…got some of that 90 from the late 90's sitting around. Think I'll go scrubbing with it this week. Thanks for the tip. That's why I luv these boards, great info. First Mickey with the Zep and now JimMy Jones with his secret sauce 90. Look out rob Allen. Look out Saiger.

Yer cost per gal of ready-to-use product of the latest products (several listed on this thread) if you mix according to the labels will be probably be several cents less per gallon as compared to your Certifed brand. But it's worth noting that todays formulated encap products are recent formulas. And you will use them differently (shower your pads, spray ahead of your bonnets. Your Certified product was designed and sold to mix in a mop bucket, soak your bonnet and ring it out. If you have been doing that for 20 years I'd suggest changing your bonnet methods along with a product change.

But those "encap" products are merely private labeled products from big chem makers.

Stay away from FILM FORMERS

No Geerkink used to hawk that stuff. I tried it and although it worked it stank to high heaven. Very old school late 60's form of bonnet formula.
