The company I work at is owned by two people. I work directly under both of them. However, they are never in the same place at the same time. One of them sometimes gives bonnet cleaning prices to customers for my HWE, and his eyes get really big sometimes when he sees that I sold a carpet cleaning for 90 cents/ foot. (Doesn't happen often, usually 43 cents/ foot with fab.)
The other one hears what I'm charging and just shakes his head saying, "I used to get that or better 20 years ago." He used to get 20 cents to clean, 20 cents to use a floor machine, and 20 cents to protect, he said 90 percent of the time he sold all three.
It's kinda funny to get the "Wow, people are paying that much?" reaction and the "I can't believe you can't charge more" reaction in the same day. Kinda makes me want to hide under my desk.
