People do and it is hard back breaking work.

In the beginning there was a system where you entered house with a
bucket of shampoo and a brush in hand.

Got on hands & knees and scrubbed away.

Total equipment investment $10.00.

Think it was called Duroclean not sure, maybe GR remembers.

Don't worry. Be happy.

Duraclean it is.

They have progressed to TM's with "foaming jets" and portables. A local fellow who just recently retired cleaned carpets on his hands and knees with the Duraclean System since 1955. Though he got a portable unit sometime in the 80's, he told me that he had clients who preferred the "hands and knees" system and he did some of that till he retired recently.

They were still doing it that way when I started in 1980.

Jim Henry, Many remember as a great instructor before his passing, started as a DuraClean franchise. I liked him cause he also rode Motorcycles, and Had all 5 (Helen and I and our 3 kids) of my family in his class and survived to tell about it!!!

He was the Danuba Man, Lived in Danuba CA
