yep most corners seem to have metal

when doing moisture testing on flood jobs I stay away from the corners, and use rare earth magnets to make sure any high readings aren't nails or wires in the wall

don't know to be honest...

but figure most are metal unless it's the cheapest track home a developer is selling at the cheapest price point with the cheapest pressed paper molding too....and squeezing every penny out of the build materials they can....

Considering the healing power of magnets I can see multiple additional benefits.
The sky may be the limit.

Could they also have crystals?

Thanks for the heads-up. If I needed to order more corner guards I'd consider getting some to see if techs like them. The price difference is small enough to beat gluing your own magnets to a new guard.

I'm not sure the Techs have a problem with conventional guards though; I'll have to ask.

Techs say they don't have a problem with regular corner guards. They're not exactly the speedy SS types though, so these still might work for someone else.

Is there some undiscovered problem that we are trying to invent here to justify the need for a new type of corner guard?

How about a 45° corner guard. Seems like the higher end houses have 45° corners.
