Yeah, Eric you need to get rid of the big truck on the front page and do some Mrs. unowho friendly type photos.
It looks like an equipment ad to me.

Just a thought.

I hear ya on that one.
The first and hardest step is to just do. Letting go of your baby isn't easy and some customers will be like "OMG" I can't have another guy clean MY carpets. They get over it and even get a little proud when you tell them why and how they actually helped you grow your business.

Just about anyone who gets on this site has enough knowledge to get off the truck (except maybe Scott R.
There are thousands of cleaners who don't even know what a computer is that do a great job cleaning. They will never be a business person.

Why are you guys not hiring professional web developers to create your websites? Some of your website look like they were ripped out of 1995.

Dan- It's somewhat apparent that you aren't a carpet cleaner and that you are just trying to pull a "Ben Surdi" on us. Correct me if I am wrong. Remember, just because you say you build websites, doesn't mean you're good at it, and most guys know whoever comes here tooting their own horn are usually the ones to stay away from.

Ok guys I am a ficktard when it comes to installing a nice webtemplate I was thinking about from ithemes. is there an installation guide for ficktards like me??
I did get a few links on here but I tried to install several differant ftp but adding the network location with windows 7? it just will not work at all. kinda getting to the point of pulling the rest of the bald spot hairs out.

I would love to pay money for a guru to do it all. but its been raining for the past 7 months and jobs have been slim to non existant. some funding has been super bad.... Any step by steps to install a template would be absolutly appreciated. I tried to use alot!!!! of vids online but, they explain it as if I know what I am doing already.

then after I crash the site I will show it to yall. ahunt

I worked for Beflor in Chesapeake VA for about 5-6 years. I did it all. I worked my way up from general labor, to learning fire clean up, then became a water tech and eventually their leader water tech for a time. I know you guys could give a shit about IICRC certs, but i have my Journeyman in Water Damage Restoration, and Carpet Cleaning.

I used to frequent these boards when I was a salesman for a short time at interlink supply in VA Beach. I got out of the business all together and went back to college. I'll be done with that soon.

I didn't say my websites were the best. But I think business owners don't understand the importance of not only having a website, but a website that is respectable and follows basic design and development standards.

I've said time and time again. Hire a professional. I'm not telling you guys to higher me. I honestly can't stand dealing with some of the service industry business owners who want websites. Every one is broke and expects things for free. I'd rather do 1 website a month for $10k than 10 for $1k. Know what i mean?

when you contract some one to do your website. Look at their portfolios. Do they look like anything from http://www.cssdrive.com http://www.csselite.com . If not and they are charging you more than a grand, your probably getting ripped off. Do they offer SEO? do they have a portfolio of proven results? then they are probably ripping you off.

Also, this is your online image. take pride in it and higher a professional that can take the love you have for your business and make it shine on the internet.
