So Matt, if you are force fitting glides on a PCTI, you are bending them out of shape and creating the need for gooping, just so you know.

Cut a notch in the wing so the glide can be slid on stress free.

I've never experienced a difference drying from slot to hybrid to holes.

Holes feel drier to the touch at first.

But the carpet still dries about the same time
If they all are the same, then why are all three still being made? The answer to that question really isn’t important to me.

I’ve been following up after switching to a hole glide. My technique may have improved, but my customers are telling drying times seem to be cut in half. I did not bore my customers about glides.

all three have their fans, most of which will not consider switching, for a multitude of reasoning.

Even the very odd duck who insists on a No Edge Channel Hole design.

But slots make up for 80% of the sales, over all.

My technique may have improved

I suspect that possible .

My side by side evals done at home same/day time/same rooms on three types of carpet (dense, heavy nylon cut pile/crap olefin loop/poly cut pile)
W/notched Ti for easy glide change, 45 blower, 3200rpm, 14hg.

Not a dimes worth of difference to "complete" dry.
as Sam noted, at first it "feels" dramatically different.
within an hour no difference in touch/feel dampness to complete dry

Hole glides are for ease of wanding.
BUTT...you have to vac 100% of 100% of carpet

Hybrid is worthless as you still have to vac 100% with no benefit in dry times and not as easy to push as hole.
It's for overthing rocket surgeons that don't make time to do evaluations properly and just parrot the pack

Holes are easiest to push, make a reel heavy wand and machine a breeze to use.

Also they leave a groomed look to the carpet and on some smart strand with serious bite or lockdown help.

Hybrid more lockdown then a holed but still a lot easier then a slot to move and it can pick up some loose ends too.

Slot really bites down great for polys and carpets your trying to fluff back up.

I happen to carry a holed glides sapphire 14 and hybrid devastator.

I do have a slot on one of my pcti and mach15 if I need one.

Slot glide is so much easier than not having a glide at all, don't understand the hybrid/hole glide thing. Must be for old Men.

JFC, you're a narcissistic dikwad with your attempt at insults

I don't hang around empties or com long enough to monitor complete dry times.
That's where I did chem evals

My home isn't a sec8, asshole

so tell us, have you done side by sides same pre-spray/same wand/same room/same time in your home so you can monitor to "complete" dry times?
(not the bullsh1t "touch" if it's slightly damp it's dry") like most do.
and was it on three different type and quality carpets?

If you have done same room/same day/same wand/same pre-spray with different glides, what did you discover?

Once again, you can't fathom my cleaning realty.
Huge estates and homes that allow all of the above type testing where we/I had ample opportunity to see rooms and rugs dry while we worked on other areas or projects. Many multi day/same location projects as well.
Countless wand evaluations too.
Granted most of those projects were done with a Vortex or Aerotech so results are skewed towards big performance TMS.
Holes dry noticeably quicker

on the humid coast.

Here in NV I can leave the lid of my waste tank and still out dry you swamp dwellers.

btw, what good is a chem evaluation on a carpet that's already loaded with... chemistry?
Did someone eat your Little Debbie snack cake on the job site?, you're unusually easily rattled today, and dont JFSEE me bro.

lets get specific.
You did same room/same time/same wand and pre-spray?

were drying fans used on these all day jobs?
if so, how were they placed as not to skew results?

and lastly, what's "noticeably faster" mean?
7 hours instead of 8?

In Nevada you can hose down carpets with a garden hose and still have it dry in an hour.

You did same room/same time/same wand and pre-spray? yup

were drying fans used on these all day jobs? some times
if so, how were they placed as not to skew results? on the ground

and lastly, what's "noticeably faster" mean? lets go with 19.56% faster, or 28.77% with a 3rd dry stroke and 34.21%with a 4th dry stroke.
7 hours instead of 8?

were your pre-spray application passes applied perfectly even?

as even as can be

Did you account for jet wear between the two test periods?

now you're obfuscating.
Cause it appears pretty obvious you've never done genuine side by sides in a controlled manner*.
You're trying not to outright lie

*as controlled as "human" hand possible

Larry I doubt you've personally cleaned 10% of the carpet I have...

I doubt you've cleaned more than 10 wool wall to walls..

I doubt youve owned more than five types of wands..

How many truckmounts? 4?
Im on # 21..

How many Glides, 6? How many variations of each?

How many cleaners have you geeked out with on the phone about this stuff for hours on end? 12?

How many real cleaning events have you been to and studied wand results with other cleaners, 3?

How many Glide sales with veteran cleaner conversations have you had? None.

You think about this stuff for maybe 5 minutes a week when you're online pontificating I think about this stuff all day most every day of the week unless I'm out riding.

But if you want me to get a Little Dewey Junior science kit and an Excell spreadsheet and play around in my living room to come up with some contrived numbers to help prove what a equals a lifetime of experience is telling me versus your maybe 10 years of part-time cleaning section 8 carpets with a glided wand.

Holes dry 15-20% faster all things being equal.

Maybe I'll send you a big enough chunk of Virgin PTFE so that you can whittle me out a gun grip for my 357.

why don't you just say "no, I've never done any controlled side by side evals to complete dry time"

instead of telling us you're greatest, most knowledgeable CC'er in the history of the world, and anyone that disagrees don't know sh1t

with that, I'll leave you with this.
add the word "else"
