Our landfills have separate bins for plastic, metal, card board, wood, tires, class, aluminum, magazines etc..

I like to pretend little Keebler elves take all that junk apart and put each nut and bold, every electric cord and all rubber tid bits in the right containers so they can be sent off to make Smart Strands and plastic lawns.

save those cords....you would be amazed at the amount over a period time that can be saved on a shelf in the garage....copper is really in demand and brings good money at the recycle center

PS....what is the vac of choice these days??

Mikey I was at Wal Mart the other day and got a good look at the Navigator. That vacuum is tiny. You must empty it once or twice on each room. I get the fact that bagless vacuums don't compress the dirt like a bagged. The fill line I assume would hold about two cups of dirt. The cleaning head was tiny. Why would you not use a more professional vacuum? Time is money. For me there is no way I could work with that vacuum. Why do you like it so much, and why would you not use a bagged vacuum?

So I've been testing this for almost two months now and am still thrilled with it.

Pros-
Super lightweight
Very maneuverable
Very well built for a plastic vacuum. metal in all the important areas
Very easy to clean the cup, filters and cyclonic head area
Great assortment of tools, on board and off
Cleans as deep as a Bissell Momentum or Dyson
$159 at Costco
Very little dust escapes the Cup
Head is perfect size for going east and west on a staircase and gets around furniture like a champ
Handle makes it easy to use on staircases
Comes with extra filters
Longest handle of all the vacs in the showroom
Life time belt
Upholstery tool works real well
Two motor system so no running the head when edging or going over uph.
Hard floor friendly
Non pile height adjuster really works, has not stalled yet on stiff olefin piles or deeeeep shags

Cons-
Narrow head (but long handle makes up for it imo.)
Small cup (keep a trash bag by the front door, you'll be emptying it often)
Not the manliest of colors
Brushroll does not come out easy, if at all (life time warranty on belt so no biggie so far)
Cord could use ten more feet
Does not clean as close to the edge as some (but the crevice tools are great)
Not the vacuum to bring to that 87,000 ft warehouse

First one lasted about 250 or so jobs then the roll motor died. I walked it into BB&B and they told me to take another off the shelf, no questions asked.

I was up late watching an infomercial for the shark the other nite. Looks cool but , there is no way I buy one unless it comes in another color.

I have the same vac and they DO make it in another color - BLUE at Wal-Mart.com. It doesn't come with the mini turbo brush, but you can buy that separately if needed.

Thanks, Chris

CA. is good for recycling everything. They pay for some and not for others.
TX doesn't give money to anyone for recycling.
I notice a lot more trash on the roads here too...except for the tollways.

It is not nice to talk about your new neighbors that way.
