A special thanks is in order for 2 awesome board members @Desk Jockey and @Able 1 ..... I found a Prochem TI wand on Craigslist and Chavez went out of his way that day to get it for me....

Ever since I seen Keith @Able 1 shortened Prochem TI stair wand years ago, I always wanted to have one.... I've searched high and low for one to chop for years... I hardly ever use my Regular TI wand, but didn't have the guts to chop it with how much I paid for it.... I've never met Keith but he's always given me good advice and tips.... So I sent him the wand to get it shortened...

I do need a glide, jet extenders and new jets but other than that I can't wait to use it... I tried using it today on a job, but the jets were clogged and I didn't have the time to clean them...

Awesome set up..
Why the extra long hose on the full size wand?

I had a hole in my old one and my pops had a rather large supply of parts always on hand... I bought another hose which turned out to be a little longer than the one you see on it.... I'm cheap and won't pay for something if I have it on hand.... If I actually used the wand more, I would get the hose shortened.... My local hose shop doesn't have the SS crimps... I think the hose was for a hand tool from a spotting machine...

As for the stair wand, I just got the wand a day ago and wanted to try and play with it... Jets clogged, no glide, no extenders, it went over like a lead balloon.... I have at least 5 or more stair tools.... I don't like the straight PMF ones, the small prochem stair wand is what I'd carry but still hack stairs with my full sized wand (if it fit)... I swear I have a graveyard of tools....

I do want to add a wand handle to the bottom side of the tube... Right below the current handle... Just 180 it and it should be fine to catch the risers.... And I have a POS PMF swivel..... I'll probably Saiger it later on....

My pops loved the OG twin head Rotovac on stairs..............Hooked to a portable.............:dejection: You both have almost the same Height......

Then I came of age (13) to get dropped off and picked up on jobs.....:icon_cry:

Shit, I almost bought the RV stair tool.... It was a small version of what the 360i is now..... :dejection:

I currently either Saiger it and hack it with the full size wand, or use the 360i on it.... Then vacuum the nose (anyone with half a brain would do)...

Now I can have the best of both worlds! Idk why Prochem wouldn't make it an option for a stair TI.... Maybe this industry has the brokest of broke dick carpet cleaners who wouldn't pay for a lifetime stair tool.....

Have you tried the SS uph tool on steps yet?

Just killer on the bullnose

Yea, but I don't like the tackless strip <<<<<<------ @dealtimeman ruining and putting grooves in my $450+ upholstery tool and also it's only 4" wide......... I'm already a slow cleaner as it is.... I'm lucky/tired if I can squeeze 3 jobs in 1 day.....

Little Dickie? I thought your zipper got stuck open......with Chavez admiring your tool and all......

I named it after our beloved unko @Desk Jockey Richie Chavez....... They probably won't make a tool with his name on it, but I got his back.... My little Dickie will get used a lot, just like in real life.....:shifty: (I know more than 3 shakes your playing with it....... I play with that bad boy.....)

Check out this little gem Nate.

Sweet wand, I don't like the straight tube though... I was also looking at the Bentley Stair wand Cobb's sells, but I got the best of both worlds....

I didn't admire it!

I handled it...fondled it a little...but that was it.

I was sleeping the whole time....... Next MikeysFest I'm not rooming with you....... So you can leave your earplugs at home.....

Just curious Nate what don't you like about the PMF swivel stair tool? How old is it?

In it's stock form, it's a POS.... The jet sprays almost an inch away from the wand head.... Then it's reduced to a 1" tube at the swivel... If I had it setup like @Mark Saiger , then it'd take me some time to get used to it.... I don't mind flipping a wand, it's more natural for me.... I also wanted a wide head stair tool with awesome flow.... I'll even hack a few mattresses with it..............:shifty:

Soooo- Let's get the story straight here- you fondled Nate's tool, you roomed with him, enjoyed it so much you can't remember if you slept at all, and made so much noise Jim Martin couldn't sleep and then say it was fun. Quite the pajama party there Chavez.....:eekk:

The "S" curve is key.. I made a straight 4 jet prochem and it was horrible! With a cut down ti wand your back is straight all but for the last two steps.. I have also used the SS upholstery tool in a pinch, but far too time consuming! Bending over to clean stairs is a back killer, and there is no reason to do it.

I heard Chavez is in talks with getting his name on a rolling, swivel office chair.. The problem they are having is with their tag line "come sit on this Dick"..
