If anyone services Miami you may want to look into doing some kind of demo. Carpet looks crappy full of dirt attracting residue. Tile not much better. Saw some dude last night with a self contained portable going very slow.

But think about how much money their saving by having a minimum wage worker and a CRI approve machine and soap.

I wonder though how much really they'll save. Figure out a way to do 3-4k per hour, carpets will look better, not have to be cleaned as often. This is definitely no place for the perfectionist but someone with the right frame of mind and willing to lower their standards may make some decent money.

One big problem though, the minute they find out what machine and chems you're working with you're outta there. Security must be a real pita to the point that outside companies may not be allowed.

Does mildew still make the Miami airport one you can identify by smell?

The reason in-house staff does this work is that one union or another will run an independant out of the building. It's the same for a lot of institutions; the in-house staff says the carpet is uncleanable, the mill wants us to come in and prove the carpet can be cleaned, we clean it, the mill is off the hook, the in-house staff is afraid they'll lose their jobs and then threaten to shut the place down if outside contractors are hired. The building management decides to take the easy way out and accept crappy workmanship.
