Special order Judson about 40 moons ago. But now, it has a new 30hp kohler, all new wiring, gauges, hoses, rebuilt cat3, new 5.6 blower. Also comes with a 135 gallon waste tank, 100 gallon fresh tank, #4 little giant, hose reels.

This will be the last TM I will buy, sorry Les, you did it to yourself

A great install, can't wait to use it.

That blower is underpowered

Unless you have it seriously under driven, or much lower max lift

You will have to ask him that.

Besides after 40 years in the business, I believe Les knows what he's doing. !gotcha!

why's that??

how much HP do you need to run a pump and 56 blower??
May not be as much as you think if you go by blower manufacture's specs

I don't have spec sheet in front of me

Those numbers are for electric horse power, actual brake HP

Gas is maybe 70% of electric , something like that

Not saying it won't work, just not at its max performance.

Ok, spin that at 2850, 16 inch merc running 1500 psi turbo,

Looks like the blower has a 2.5 inch opening and not a 4 inch opening like the 5mvp (56) has. The medium pressure blower maxs out at 2850 rpms also but creates 477 cfms and needs a bhp of 22.3 to turn it with 16" of Hg.

KBrenny made his TM with a Kohler 36 hp and a 5mp blower. He said that he ran it at max speed with 16" of lift and the engine only bogged down a few hundred rpms (200 or so) under load.

Vlad at Aerotech thinks that a TM engine should have 1.5 times the bhp of the blower needed at a mininum. He said an engine with two times the bhp needed for the blower was his ideal. Those specs were with a normal relief valve and not a bayco or kunkle.

you will pay an extra $60k in fuel over 8 years to own an AT over a Judson, and this may be an understatement. when your AT is worn out, its it will be over a Hundred G's to replace it. When a judson motor wears out its $1,500.00 to replace.

So is it a 5.6 or a 5.3?
The 5.6 has 4-inch holes and requires more HP then the hi pressure, lo volume 5.3 does

It is a 5H 359 CFM, But even if it was a 5m the 30 HP will work.

Truckmounts do not run at full 16 hg while cleaning.

Looking forward to Sapps impressions after using it a few times.

Honestly could be your last TM.

Keep the fluids changed, she will last a long time.

I just hope Sapps 1st few jobs are vacants.. he might have a hard time hiding his excitement.
