We have a bit of sad news, but plenty of good news to announce in regards to the upcoming Mikey’s Fest in Phoenix (Oct 27-29).
First off, sadly but predictably, the Ronald McDonald House is not able to allow our crews into the home this year due to national Covid restrictions facing children's hospitals.
Bummer, but here is how we see the situation: the floors and furnishings are not in bad shape in any of the three homes due to lack of use, and we were not going to be allowed into the guest bedrooms. In reality, there was very little for us to clean this year and with Phoenix being divided into three locations, attendees only get to test and play with 1/3rd of the equipment and vendor brain power…
The exciting news is our setting at the church is going to turn into an even more powerful learning opportunity for all the attendees! Attendees, vendors, and teachers will get far more one-on-one time as we have acres of challenging floors, rugs, and furnishings to test, demo, and learn from one another on. I've put on countless “Fests” over the last 18 years and we never had a venue with so many incredible items to clean.
So with the new format (see the revised schedule below), we will have the following learning opportunities available for everyone :
Demo Legend Brands, HydraMaster, Steam Action, and ElDiablo Truckmounts, US Products portables and Devastator, Zipper, Evolution, and Sapphire Titanium wands on thick and dirty nylon carpet in the church sanctuary.
Run TOPS OP and Carpet Cleaner America CRB machines on filthy 30-year-old olefin glue down that has been “Rug Doctored” hundreds of times. (HUGE learning opportunity here, HUGE!)
Try all the above equipment and learn the safe way to clean area rugs on site with Reg Rogers, Shawn Bisaillon, and Mike Pailliotet
