I am in tile school. They are teaching me how to polish with spinergy pads tomorrow. Which is better? Spinergy or monkey? Is there any difference in approach between the two?

They both are for hacks.
Before hack pads, how did people polish stone?
What equipment do you use for tile and grout cleaning?
I am a young manager of a cleaning company trying to set myself apart as knowledgable and doing things the right way instead of the easy way.

Edit: and who the hell makes the turbo hybrid, how much is it and where do I find a picture of it?

they both lick balls and suck ass. Go to a real class like TOG Stonehouse, MB Stone, NSRA Huligar, or Dave Galines classes...don't fall for that stuff..

What school are you attending?

Are they teaching diamond or powder polishing also?

IICRC tile or stone class.

I know powder polishing is in the book, but he didn't mention we'd be doing it. I m taking the class at interlink.

Edit: Stone Masonry and Ceramic Tile put on by Dane Gregory.

I guess I'll google turbo hybrid. I didn't even bother trying because I assumed I wouldn't find itwithout the manufacturer name

Using those pads is akin to showing up at your custy's house with a rug doctor in an 82 Voyager with the simulated wood and your business name stenciled in masking tape on the side.

That is quite a distinct word picture you have painted there Gary. The masking tape part was funny.

Sorry I didn't answer your question. Diamond pads and powder polish. There are many of course. Education and experience will dictate which pad to use on what stone. See there is not a one size fits all tool for stone. That is the way it is and has been for many, many years. The primate, and spinny pads are not the first to TRY to make stone restoration easy. They will not be the last. Education and experience don't make stone restoration easy. So many people want to skip those 2 little things, and there are companies who want to profit on that, there always will be.

Neither of the manufacturers of those things promote them on any stone board. I wonder why?

Well said Gary...especially the comment about them not going on stone boards to promote their product. I think a lot of guys would have a different opinion about these pads if they saw or tried real diamond honing and polishing.

So Interlink got their hands on an independent IICRC course and are pushing a worthless product?

Much like that shit they put on a laminate or wood floor.....

sure its an upsell.....

but really....most are CARPET cleaners...not fooking floor care specialists...nor do they care to...."ohhhh stripping that floor is to hard" bunch of limp dicks...

on to my next project....i want to learn how to CLEAN and refinish a wood floor...anything that needs the sanders i will leave for the pros...but there are ALOT of houses around here that have wood in them, and they are going to be getting ready to need them done....More so i need to know GOOD products to put on them....not that glorified crap they have at interlink
