Seriously, I don't know how they find me, but they always do. Got a call from a lady wanting an "Emergency Cleaning" because some guy got drunk and urinated on the carpet in her bedroom. She tried to clean it herself with a bissell but all she ended up doing was smearing it around. I told her my minimum price and offered the option to call around if she wanted someone cheaper. She ended up calling me back and I headed over.

Often times I turn down jobs like this, but since I'm in the mood for a new Corvette, I booked the job.

I arrived at the scene and she escorted me to the contaminated room. I immediately went to work.

Here is where I divert to bitch at @Mark Saiger a bit. Mark, what are you thinking? I thought you were one of us. I used your ODOR OXY. It worked very well but Mark, what's with the 2:1 or 1:1 ratio. This stuff is as bad of a mixing ratio as UnDuzIT with the exception it doesn't choke you out from the smell. Do the chem manufacturers really think I want to drive around with 8 gallons of their product in my van? It just doesn't make any sense, especially if you do any kind of volume odor work. I guess if you're a boutique cleaner like Mikey and do very little odor/urine work, a product with a 2:1 ratio would be okay. I need something with a minimum of 4:1 or more. All that being said, it worked very well and smelled like a holiday. I love you Mark, but not the 2:1. Would I use it again and trust it to work?, yup. Will I secretly order more and bitch about the mixing ratio, Yup.

Back on topic, so I flooded the floor with the 3 gallons of oxy I had mixed up. let it simmer for awhile, then extracted with my Aqua Helix. I then sprayed the carpet as normal with my HF. I sprayed a mixture of Prochem Nano (UltraPac Extreme) and a heavy dose of SaigerCide (80z per gallon....Very good Mark). I also poured 4 cups of SaigerCide (once again, good mixing ratio Mark) into my acid rinse. Then I went to work with the final extraction.

The customer was thrilled with the results. The room really did smell great when I was done.

On another side note, while I was there working, some guy came up to me form an adjoining townhouse. He said, "What if I offer you $100 cash and you come over to my house and clean my carpet and 12'x 12' area rug". I politely told him my minimum price. I could see his face turn red and his blood pressure rise. He then said, "What if I bring my rug out to the parking lot and you clean it on the ground?" At this point I was getting annoyed with him so I told him, "I'll be happy to bring your rug back to my shop and clean it for $5 per sqft. Free pickup and delivery." He and his red face huffed off.

It is one thing when someone has the nerve to try to weasel a "while you're here" price out of you, especially when they aren't the people you are actually working for....it is quite another when they become offended when you politely decline to allow them to engage in forcible financial sodomy with your business model.

I don't so miss working for the public.

Damon, I have to stick up for Mark on this one. You used the odor oxy for the wrong reason. It's made to go behind the urine treatment where any stains are left over. It isn't made for jobs where urine is smeared over the whole room. It's supposed to be put in a handheld sprayer to touch up at the end of a job.

Here's what you should've done stoop.
Put PZyme in the hydro force at 8:1 or 4:1, depending on severity of it.
Sprayed the whole room with it
HWE after the dwell
Then look for any spots with the odor oxy

You'll actually use very little of the odor oxy if you apply it that way
I see who is buying all the 2:1 water out there.

1. It was the only thing I had in my inventory for urine, I need to order.

2. Well, maybe it's made to be a post treatment application. But the label really didn't say that.

3. And you of all people surprise me here. You yell and scream more than anyone at soap salesmen.
