My initial opinion of the 570ss

After a week with it, I like it very much. It dumps water when it isn't suppose to. It's nice to see out the side and back windows. Great vac and heat. Creates very little heat inside the van. I run it on medium speed and low heat setting and it holds 210 all day long. Unfortunately my recovery tank is filling up in the process. All around beautiful machine.

I know this is a dumb question but is your bypass valve open a little bit?
That would certainly dump water in the tank.

I was told the only way this machine dumps water is through a thermostatic valve when the water gets VERY hot. I've been running it at 210 and today it burned through most of a tank of water in a couple of hours.

According to the threads around here your machine is working properly.
You may need to get a caged 500 gal tank on a trailer and pull behind you.

have that valve checked. My Everest was doing the same thing. Bad dump valve in water box. Was sticking open. I would burn through 60 gal of water in 2 hours

They actually do have s work around depending on the weather hotter days the water box gets to 190 and the machine bypasses on excess.

The work around is a valve from the cold water supply that and heat exchanger that keeps the water around 160.

They tested it in Arizona for 30 hours and it never got over 167 in the water box.

I'm getting mine soon will see how it effects bypassing like mad and over all temp

The valve isn't meant to be used when it's cold out only when it's real hot.

I would still check what ray stated even with the waste tank lid off and the machine running to make sure it is not you heat bypass valve either open or malfunctioning.

Doug, are you running high flow? If not you should be. will help you keep your heat under control more and use the heat your generating. 570, time to hire a helper and have them do upholstery while you clean carpet..

When doing that, you should put a long hose on it to lower the heat of the water going back into the holding tank...

It says " to reduce operating water temperatures, put valve in open position" or something to that effect.

It appears that valve is a passive bypass of coolant heat exchanger.

The retro fit bypasses same heat exchanger completely

The machines are great, but because they heat water so efficiently in the water box it has to dump. Mine once running is almost always open. I run it back to my water tank so it's no problem. Buy the auto pump out if your going to keep dumping in your tank. It makes an endless supply of hot water.

Ya Doug try and see if that reduces your bypassing let us know how it affects overall temp to.

Actually they wanted to send it to my tech guy to install he has to send in paper work but he's been OH so busy.

Doug have you used the cold water diverter???? how much does it affect temp if you have tried it? Does the machine still get as hot with the valve opened up and does the machine stop bypassing and filling the tank????

When I get mine installed I'll let you know what I think.

I think it uses half as much water as with the valve closed. I don't know that it affects water temp. I run mine on Low, so all I would have to do is bump up the temp. I will probably run the dump hose over to the water tank just to eliminate any problem at all.
Unfortunately, my machine seems to have a vibration issue and seems to be getting worse. It also seems to be getting louder. It shakes the coolant out of the overflow bottle, so I can't even put any coolant in it.

they love flow..the more water you give it the less it dumps..also i closed off the bypass valve on the right side on the bottom..just unhooked it and capped it off..that valve will
go bad often and dump like crazy..

im in fla and its still in the 90-93 range here..run it all day and dont go through 200 gallons..that gets about 1000-1200 dollars of work done depending on tile or carpet and dirt level..its a daily average

you will dump a little but not that much..also possibly your thermal valve is bad..fast easy fix also
