I tried a couple craigslist ads using the top part of david's ad.
Then a link (but they dont allow links) so an address where they could fill out an online application or upload resume.

Same results... 0

Trying facebook for a week currently.

Next will be indeed.

Tried (ad still on) Indeed.
So far, same crappy results as Craig's.
Also tried different style of ads- Like Damien's + another like what Bryan (Oz) and Joe Apples advised. Putting myself in the potential employee's shoes- listing what will be attractive to the job seeker- Same crappy results.

No hair left to pull.

Some send emails with their phone and contact email, to which they never respond. Phone not working or accepting messages. Too many for it to be a coincidence. My speculation is that some are collecting unemployment and need to show they're trying to find a job.

FRUSTRATING!

It is interesting sometimes who responds to Craigslist ads. Some guys are really qualified and can develop into great techs.

My new guy starts Monday that we found on Indeed.com. Had to wait for him to give his notice at a manufacturing plant. I have high hopes this guy will be a great tech. STill blows my mind that it took so long to find someone.
