Perfect...Seriously Marty, I know you have a soft spot for your grandkids. My own kids are who make my life worth ....everything.
Doing something, anything, for those poor kids and parents in a Ronald McDonald House is a moment in time not to be missed.
I don’t expect a public answer, just think about it.
Perfect...
Shame him into it....
Socially retarded?
You? Of course not
No Jim...that's not retarded.....No Bob, I really am. Ask Mikey how many times I've disappeared from dinner plans once I started to count heads in the lobby.
Same when I served my sentence in the IICRC. I never went to their cocktail parties or dinner events.
So, we did the big clean today. Got to work a lot with Bob Pruit. A scholar and a gentleman for sure. Probably the hardest worker in our group. Meeting Mark Saigerized and Mikey again is like meeting old friends. Meg is a lot of fun of course. Met so many other people who I have just talked online, it's a real treat. Amazing amount of knowledge is shared. It's refreshing and inspiring at the same time. Many parents in the houses express their appreciation of what we are doing. Jim I would be disappointed if you didn't come to dinner or drinks. You do know that all we talk about is carpet or upholstery cleaning. How hard could it be? Most of us would love to meet Marty in person. And Bawb. And all the regulars who hang out here. It's a chance to be a part of something that's bigger than all of us and for a good cause to boot.Moving back to the subject at hand, I hope any of you who at all can will join us in Nashville. Its not a busy time of year for most of you, and its an experience not to be forgotten.
There are so few opportunities to try new tools, machines, and techniques in real world settings today, or to talk to owners of those items instead of just sales representatives.
But more than that, of course, is the opportunity to do some real, tangible, good in the world.
I hope to see many of you there.....individually, or in the classrooms.
Just not at dinner or for drinks in a crowded bar![]()
Is Marty calling you an idiot in person as big a let down as it is here? Not at all.
I believe in my heart Marty would find it a meaningful experience. I tease Marty a bit, but on this one I’m serious.
If he isn’t comfortable in the social setting, I completely get it; the after hours stuff is torture for me, and I usually avoid it.
