It does not measure Sq Ft only distance. You are also mixing GERMAN ENGINEERING and electronics and that's not usually a good fit. The craftman model at Lowes will measure area, is rechargeable and I think it's only 30 or 40 dollars with a lifetime warranty. I finally ordered one on Ebay and it was only 19 dolaars or so and I'll probably order a couple more to keep in other vehicles.

Leica or Bosch....
I use a Bosch, it’s made me enough money over the last 7 years to be able to afford my property...
I’m going to be crucified for saying this....

I have the Bosch tape that measures out like 165 ft. Mines not the Blaze. I power it on and click a button to turn on square foot.

Paid around 100 bucks probably 7 yrs ago. If you do any commercial make sure it will measure atleast 100 ft.
I have hallways I walk to the middle and shoot both ways there so long.

We like our 3 Leicas. Less than $200 each now. Long battery life. Lighted for dark areas. Max 200 ft., I think.

This is the one that we use. It bluetooths it right to my phone and makes it really easy to keep track of square footage for repeats .
