I only do basic hardwood topical cleaning and recoating, using the interlink supply system. I have a long term carpet client who is selling his home.

He has hardwood in the main living areas and wants be to clean and WAX just the main traffic pattern coming of the front door. Not alot of area, he just wants it to show better.

The interlink system is not used on a waxed floor, what is my best option for a procedure and product?

Thanks

They still make wax for the floors. Works great be carful not to get it on painted baseboards.

paste wax

I'll preface by saying, I've never done large areas like floors, but use paste wax a fair amount on lots of smaller woodworking projects

It's pretty simple really.
Start with a clean dry floor
apply a thin/even coat of paste wax (You can buy Minwax paste wax at Lowes, HD, etc in the wood finish section of the paint dept)
let dry..In Az that wouldn't take more than 15 minutes .
then polish/buff.....*poof* that's it

i use cotton buffing wheels for small pieces and microfiber towels under buffer/polishers for larger pieces

For a floor, I'd use a rotary and take a couple/three different bonnets to try.
Cotton, microfiber and synthetic blend ...and use whichever one responded best

Funny ending to the story. After doing the topical clean on the areas the wood looked so much better that they decided not to wax it. Oh well
