I remember on one of the supply companies having a two part device that you plugged into a outet and then the other device you plugged into any outlet and it would let you know if it were on the same circuit? The premise is so you can find out a different circuit to plug into.

I got one from my local supplier, (who is also an Interlink distributor) I use it with an extension cord when I do estimates for High rise hallways. Most have 3 plugs per hallway. I plug into the center one and then the breaker buddy into the others. If it's green they are separate circuits. Helps me to determine what equipment I can bring. A lot of buildings have all 3 plugs on the same circuit. I think it was just under $100.00
