need help

how much oil do i put in a 22hp brigss, its time to change ,and whats the best to run in it ?

its my first truck mount TG i have one , with all these repeats i have!

Start with a quart and a half,then check the level and maybe add a little more.

3.5 quarts, and 10w 30 will do fine.

1.5 quarts - do not over fill and check. Filter takes some too.

kind of hard to do it it's side mounted, cause it will pour right out before you get screwed on

pour a a qt and half in the fill tube
start it up and run a minute to fill the filter.
shut down, give it minute to settle, then check and top off as needed

Penzoil isn't my favorite brand, but it will do if that's what you have on hand.

personally, i think Valvoline is the best.
But if you change regular and often, it really doesn't matter that much what oil you use.
(as long as it's a commonly sold 10-40wt motor oil)

I put a remote oil filter on mine, gets me away from having to spend $13/filter, esp the tiny little things they are! I can now use a regular Ford filter, twice the size and half the price. AND its in a spot where I can change the filter and not have oil drip all over!!
