I'm trying to find a carpet liner that duplicates or exceeds what the 18x18" mat in this photo does.
it makes a great cat deterrent, but I want to buy it by the yard, not just these expensive mats.

has anyone seen such matting with dense and high spikes for indoor home carpet or autos
that I could simply cut to fit, then turn spike side up to keep my cats away from the area?

clever idea, but i already considered it.

unfortunately, the spike density is not
height enough to deter little cat feet.

desk/chair mats usually have beveled
edges which add a lot to their cost.

well I'm out of solutions for ya, just shoot the cat when it gets on your crap and a little peroxide will help get that blood out for ya.

Don't know whether they are still available but the poultry industry used to have a similar mat. The fingers were a relatively soft rubber to catch the eggs. Might work for you.
