The 423 is similar to the 421 with a few upgrades. It has a 23 hp Briggs motor and a 4005 Tuthill Dominator blower. It has a new Opti-air flow system to make it a little quieter and does not house the heat exchanger underneath the frame so you don't have to pull the machine to get at it. It just went into production and HM has started getting them in stock so they are ready to go.

HM designs haven't changed all that much over the last 20-30 years or so.. the hydracat became the crossfire, the crossfire became the spitfire and the boxxer is current. The design between each of those machine haven't really changed and the 423 is just a bigger engine.
There is other designs that HM makes, but those are the core of their design. Its just an engine powering a pump and blower. Be sure whatever you buy, the local shop can work on HM machines.
