so is Craigslist, but do you advertise with them?

All Im saying is that to get these types of customers you have to think like them. If you keep your mindset on price, you will keep price conscious customers.

WHO knows who is really on the other end of a Craigslist ad?

Unlike a Craigslist ad, when you personally hand your card(s) to a potential or existing customer you now have one on one interaction. An opportunity to sell your self and your services that is unlike anything social media or any other internet marketing is capable of providing.

Everyone likes a deal. When meeting new prospective customers, giving them a $5 card instead of a business card makes them think they have something of value. $5 isn't going to sway most people but if they have it, I feel they will be more prone to use you than the person who just gave them a business card.

True enough but being able to choose your the denomination of a card, gives you options; You know (or should) what people in your region are paying on average. What segments of your city are higher end. If you have been cleaning enough years Its not that difficult to make a fairly accurate estimate what a potential customer is likely willing to spend for your services. Give discount cards accordingly to maximize profit.

Your free room of scotch guard fabric protector on your website expired last July on your Deals, Discount-Coupons section. How many calls do you get on that offer?

Here is the code I use to overlay expiration text on coupon images....coupons always expire at the end of the current month

It can be used in WordPress text widgets that will parse php.....use css to adjust position

Code:
  <div class="coupontext">
    <p>
<?php
echo "Hurry! Expires : ";
$lastDay = date("F jS, Y", mktime(0, 0, 0, date("m")+1 , 0, date("Y")));
echo $lastDay."<br>";
?>
</p>
  </div>

Looks like this

With 1000 cards you can give as many as you want. Some customers will bite if you give them $20.00 worth of cards. But as I said you got your choice of 5's 10's, 20's, 50's 100's.

What kind of customer are you targeting............?
Intersted... Whats your pricing structure?

He only makes these for ugly fvckers..

There is the option for a logo on front for the those that are "hard on the eyes". Sadly I fall into that category. Having hair or even facial hair usually makes for a real good engraved portrait on the front.
