Nice people exist

I went out on Monday, to check on a few pieces of upholstery to be cleaned.

Couple of large armchairs and a sofa.

I gave the normal prices. Then these nice folks decide to tell me that they are buying new upholstery and getting them delivered on Thursday. Can I squeeze the cleaning in - before that?

I know I didn't understand it either....

So they are donating these that they want me to clean and on that donation pick up day their new furniture is being delivered.

Donation is going to Camp Pendleton base to military families. So I couldn't do it for full price...had to give a discount.

Such nice people still exist...










Or I just got taken and gave away very low priced cleaning on a sob story.


Will do an update on this. to see what the nice folks' status will be upgraded or downgraded.

I doubt that it is a sob story, because I've had people want to clean good furniture before donating it.
And if it is a sob story, that isn't on you. Your heart and attitude are in the right place and do you credit.

Well, today I returned two very nice oriental rugs that I pit washed a couple of weeks ago for another customer... He insisted on overpaying the invoice amount by 75 dollars! (that brought it up to an even $500)

They loved the vibrant revitalized look of the rugs. So you karma guys can chalk this up as "almost even"

If someone told me they were donating to a specific person or cause I would absolutely discount it, but the ones I have run into we're always Goodwill and I think they are shysters so.....yeah. I honestly have never discounted my work for this situation.
