Wicking, whether it's cellulosic, dirt, blood or whatever is always the result of incomplete cleaning or drying. Yes, you can charge extra for some of it.

It looks like you are dealing with some liquor spills of some sort. All liquor has some sugar content. I have had good success bonnet buffing using a mixture of neutral cleaning solution, soured with browning treatment or citric acid. When you are done, spray some browning treatment on any visible stains lightly.

Looks like they don't even vacuum. You need to charge for this job like you're going to have to clean it twice or maybe this is a job you are better off without. Firing some customers is sometime necessary to you grow your business.

He just got the testla. Wish I had a automatic edic. I still just use the five star, have two and it's not to bad. I get great results. On my way! I have two other portables, a 700 and the super nova. I picked up a nice pressure line and 50 ft hose, I was thinking the super on a stair tool! Like to kinda cheap out with just a stainless shorty. No crazy Teflon or nothin. I use the spotter most on stairs. Like to just park the super it has 2 vacs, they work, but I like to beef that up. I'm sure I put a new pump. Think it's only 250psi. This has two tanks and its I nice system.

I'd try some encap if you have a floor machine. Even encap and a towel could help. Anything to not have to set up a porty.
Even some peroxide can make the wicking/water rings go away.

If that 700 is a Steamway 700, talk to Willy P about his vac mods. If your auto fill/pump out still works, with Willy"s mods, you can run 100-150 ft of vac hose on it. Not any harder to setup than a tm.

Edic does all their plumbing in 1 1/2 inch only, makes it hard to modify. I don't think they offer any auto fill/pump options.
Must be a way to reto fit something nice, things can be much easier with it.

It can be done but sometimes it cheaper to buy something already set up for it. Mytee makes powerful portables with 2 inch plumbing, dual 3 stage vacuums, pump pressures from 100-500 (1200 for hard surface cleaning) Auto fill/chemical feed/pump options. You will need 2 power cords and some of their machines need at least one 20 amp circuit. I run a machine with 2-13.5 amp 5.7 inch vacuums in parallel, a pumptech m58 500 psi pump that take 2 power cords both on 15 amp circuits. I can add a pump out if I need it as long as it's 3 amps of less. I have run up to 150 ft of 2 inch vac hose with it and it still has more power than a standard single portable.
I know I can put somethings together. It's just a matter of finances right now. Think I'm going to cut the fifty foot hose to a 15 and a 35 foot, I guess I can always put them together, still need to figure out the pressure line connections. A pump out would be great and I'd love to have that tank Micky has on here. But its a lot of setup to save a lot of work.

I did go back, of course the floor had more than just some wicking, I told them I can take care of a few but I'm not doing the whole place over. They agreed and I went back, then I went back a week later and it did look good for the spots I hit, the owener was there and I try to explain that if he keeps up I can get it done and it's a work in progress, he agreed and now wants me every month.

People are always talking about 1.5" and 2" plumbing. The hole in your vac motor is less than 1.5". With 24" of 1.5" plumbing from the motor to the tank vs 24" of 2" plumbing my bet is you will never be able to measure the difference.
A 2" hose and barb vs 1.5" entering the tank is another story however.
With two 1.5" 24" hoses going into your tank you are already like 3" to the door.
Many guys think bigger is always better.... it is not always significantly different.
Another significant drag on air is changing the speed of the air. If you have a 1.5" joint in your hose the air has to speed up to squeeze through the smaller hole and then slow back down as it gets back into the 2" hose. Change of direction and change of speed will always cause more resistance.

Looks like I'm not getting any spray not sure what's up, pretty much had to use a mop to get the rinse out today, I checked the screen, it's clear, the hoses look good under the hood, I must be sucking air, no pressure. Just goes to show u it's always something.
On a brighter note this customer paid me 20% more than I asked, and the gave me $100 tip on top

take a short hose with a quick connect on one end and open on the other. Attach it to your pump connection and put the other end in a bucket. Make sure there is water in the solution tank. Turn on pump and see if you get anything out. This is called bleeding the pump and should be done every time you use the machine before you hook up your wand or other tool. Let it run until you can see that there is no more air in the stream. Now the pump is ready for use.
Did you on your big aluminum beast build?
