Ok, the viscose revolution has begun. The last job I just did had wool/viscose WW. It was VERY high end carpet, and the wand had 100% lockdown.
I used Silver Solution from Grey Matter Chemistry… I’m tellin ya now, this is my go to on delicate carpet, upholstery, and area rugs.
The end result was amazing.

Other than the fact that viscose is the world’s WORST material, and whom ever invented it, should be burned at the stake….

I was using my 3 jet Cleanco wand at first, but after 2 rooms, switched to my AW 29…
There was almost no difference in the way it was locking down.
And yes Marty, they both are slot glide

Zipper would have worked but what?
🤷‍♂️
It would have been easier than using your arms and shoulders. Dragging a Zipper with glides and wheels...ya old fool! 🤭

Would a Zipper have worked? It seems like the lockdown would work in your favor when extracting. ???
No. The most difficult part of that job was the MB. This lady was very concerned with the Starbucks latte spilled at the foot of the bed. She at least had the foresight to not grind it in.
She started by blotting with paper towels, then proceeded to use minimal water, folex, and a bunch more PT..
When I started on the stain, I rinsed well first, then proceeded to use SS mixed to spotting strength. I agitated with my gloved finger tips, then let it sit for 10 or so.
It came out with ease.
By the time we left, she had added us to her ‘cloud’ contact list, whatever that means.

And no, the Zipper would have been a little much for this.

This was one of those ‘tip toe’ jobs…

What did MB do to make it difficult?
The master was full of family photos on all surfaces, ornate decorative items, and shit I wouldn’t want to replace if I broke them. The guy had a watch collection that Damon and Mike would have been envious of I’m sure…

Not just you, people are ditching wall to wall and buying super thin cheap area rugs that they want us to clean

my guys text me everyday with photos of furniture , tile and rugs making sure they are ‘safe’ to clean

all I want to see is the signed release and that they explained the perils of laundering their garbage

we find ourselves vacuuming and damp toweling furniture and dropping our water pressure on lots of synthetic area rugs to avoid issues

makes me wonder why guys want $85k monster mounts that fill a van when going forward all you need is Mikey’s set up …

and an arsenal of non carpet cleaning related tools
