I know a cleaner who do gutter cleaning in the slow season, any other services that people need in the winter, besides financial advice.

Air duct cleaning? It seems that you need rather expensive equipment to do it right, but...

Hell go put up christmas lights for people if it gets really slow.

Just about anything you can think of can make money but if your a carpet cleaner then find ways to get people to hire you.

I ordered a regrout video set yesterday. Seems like a good extention to tile and stone cleaning.

Albert, what's the name of the video? I thought of regrouting, but I heard it's very time consuming and not much cheaper than replacing the tile.

Learn to make animal balloons and you can at least say you worked for it. One day I'll teach a street person and see where they go with it.

Learn to drum a bucket. They make good street money.

Water damage restoration

Or you can take the 50 thousand dollars that it will cost to get everything you need and just spend that during the slow months.

I'll do whole house carpet & house cleaning for empty for sale homes. Most take 1+1/2 days.

Invoices range from $500.00 to over $2000.00.

I get the key and do them at may own pace between carpet cleaning jobs.

With all the homes on the market and the competition between sellers. A very clean home is essential to help move the sale along.

Market to Realtors + a small YP ad which has far less competition and a better return under house cleaning than a ad in the carpet cleaning section.

Also, How can you do windows and gutters when it is below freezing and snow?

I've started advertising House Cleaning and House Keeping as well.
Just a natural power partner for me and cheap as hell to start.

I just partner with some House Cleaners and take a percentage.
Less work, already advertising for CCing so I just ad House Keeping and Cleaning.
Plus they can do the same for me.

Power partners.

Dave-

add a solution to the water that lowers the freezing point of the water- antifreeze, or a non-corroding windshield washer fluid. I dunno what would be an economical solution for gutters though.
