Outside hose reel?

I'm wondering... Why can't we have outside hose reels mounted to a rear of the smaller vans? We could have them on hinges and swing them out of the way. I'm thinking mainly for the vacuum hoses. Since that's what kills most of the space inside the vans.
It could be completely covered so road grime, rain, snow, won't be dragged in the next house.

Imagine something like this but on the back.

I'm really liking the new Mercedes Metris van but it's a bit smaller than the Econoline 150 (to be more precise it's 50 cubic feet smaller. 186 cubic feet)

So a small truckmount with everything other than the vac hose reel would be very nice.

Or have some kind of box on top where you could throw the hoses in. You would need 10 foot sections and just throw them all in there. I know that's a lot of cuffs...

Richard is right. He stayed in a Holiday Inn once.

Personally, as far as hoses are concerned, being musical and all, I am more interested in putting the hose in the basket and "fluting" it up to the third floor, kind of an arrangement:

BTW, to those of you who think the Ford Transit Connect and Nissan NV200/Chevy express is the same size as the Metris

No

I have a hose reel under the passenger side of my box. Works great and I have room for more. Check this rig out

Well then, let's just put everything on a flatbed and solve the heat issue too?

While we're being stupid ...

I solved the heat issue by putting a door on the opposite side. Also makes working on the truckmount super easy. As far as the reels All the pressure washer guys here with big trucks run like this. Seems really smart to me. I haven't talked to one who has lost a hose. It doesn't want to spin when mounted sideways. I have my garden hose under and it works great. It has a lock plus we wrap the hose. Probably going to add a spool with 3/8" for higher flow.

Well Marty, I have seen guys driving around with flatbed trucks and the Prochem mounted on...along with everything. Puts the meaning of truckmount to what it is: mounted on truck.
