What do you do or pay for health insurance?

I worked nights at Fed-EX just for health coverage until I couldn't stand it anymore. Then I went two years with no health coverage. Then one day I went to ehealthinsurane.com and compared plans and found one that seemed reasonable. I go to the doctor probably once every year if that. I really have it incase of a major accident.

My plan costs me 119 per month. My yearly deductible is 1500 dollars and everything is 100 percent covered after the deductible has been reached. I had to go to the ER back in the fall and just got the 600 dollar bill. :(

That is a good deal. What company is that with if you don't mind me being nosey?

I pay $826 a month for a group plan with Wellpath for Me my wife and our 5 year old. $7000 family deductible, then they pay 80%, we get $30 office visits and $60 for specialists. $13,000 out of pocket max per year. Group plans are more because by law they can't deny coverage. My wife would be uninsurable under an individual plan.

I saw a bumper sticker today. " If you think health insurance is expensive now, just wait till it's free." Way to go obummer and congress.

Hi Daniel:

This is a geat post. BTW the website is http://www.ehealthinsurance.com

I tried it, and got quotes in the $400 range for a name brand with a $5000 deductable. But also got a quote from United Health One in the $200 range with a $10,000 deductable. Both are pretty good.

Has anyone ever used United Health One?
If I send the application with a monthly premium, and do not get covered, do they always send the preminum back?

Thx,
Dale

For the last several years I have been paying $2046.00 a month for insurance for my wife, daughter and me. As of the first of the year we are setting up an HSA. $6000.00 deductible then 100% after that, any money left over at the end of the year is mine. Hope it works.

I have the ehealth.com thing too here in washington st

I pay 175 a month with 5k deductible and have 5K in a tax free health savings account

this kind of policy will soon be illegal by oBAMER standards

because only the rich can afford a high deductable and have the amount in a tax free account

It is going up to $200.00 when I add my kid...she had her own policy but I am changing some things.

Anyone want the number of my insurance guy just pm me.

If you don't get your healthcare from an individual, be careful.
It helps to have someone working for you other than a website.
