pad driver to hold cimex pad question

so i bought a hot rod tool and love it..pretty sweet tool but im looking for a pad driver that will hold cimex pads better..the black one the makita grinders come with holds a little but not good..

anyone using something better i hope

Yes they have the drill adapter that has a pad driver but that doesn't help on a grinder

I could get the adapter but then it will be sticking out so far. But that may be the only option

I don't have the hot rod but I have a harbor freight buffer that holds the cimex pads just about perfect.

I have a hot rod as well. pads seems to stick great to it with no problems. maybe you got a bogus pad driver?

The Makita backer pad doesn't hold as well as the backer pad you can get from Harbor Freight for about $7. Go figure.
If you get one from Harbor Freight it will fit on your Makita no problem.

Fyi for those observing. Dave bought the handle only and used his own Makita with it.

yea..sorrt not to be clear on that..i had the makita already..

the handle is simply awesome!! im buying another one soon..doing 1200 stepsis easier big time with this tool!!
