Do any of you padders, diaper spinners, chemwhatever cleaners do "dual wand"?

I'm padding a fair bit of jobs...and it keeps popping in my mind: anybody -that uses this method only- run two rotaries at the same time? (two person crew)

One puts down solution with brush attached and prescrubs and the other one comes behind with all the pads to "extract".

We've used the Cimex to breakup some greasy carpet and padded after it. There was no apparent advantage in time savings or improved results. We only did it once and haven't tried it since. Generally if the project is large enough for additional equipment we just run another machine.

I padded one side of a duplex yesterday I can't say I enjoy it. :icon_neutral:
I'd much rather HWE with Rotovac XL or Zipper or Encap with a Cimex but these folks wanted it very dry when we finished.

Yes we have those jobs too where 4-5 Cimexes run and a couple of Orbots as well...

I was thinking of those guys that do this padding in regular homes. Wouldn't that make it quicker to have two rotaries doing different steps after each other?

A 175 is not a significant investment but could cut time down and you'll save some on labor...? Maybe.

I wouldn't think so. I believe you'd be better off running two independent. The only way I can see you moving faster is with a third person to move furniture, spot spots, fetch water, groom the carpet. ????

Maybe you're right... That's why I'm wondering...if anybody runs that way. What's their experience?

Jimmy.... Are you one of 'em foreigners? No?
Then you do know that the word "extract" could be used when referring to removal of whatever...

Maybe in NoobrAsska there are only two types of extraction known: 1 tooth (has to be #1)
2 rug doctor from the local walgreens.

I can see the benefit if you using two different types of vlm machines, when using a rotary I scrub with a vct pad then an absorbent pad, so it's easy and quick to change.

This a one of those poly carpets that doesn't want to come clean, I pre sprayed with Procyon Extream, scrubbed with a burnishing pad then
removed soil with a loopy microfiber pad.

Pay no attention to him Zee. James is a victim...of his own self reinforcing delusion.

I was talking to Draper about this earlier.

It's a huge advantage to have a 175 or OP to mop up after breaking things looses with a Cimex It's top notch system. Not as quick as taking a 800 horse power Gurkinky Of The Month and obliterating the pile into submission, but it's a method that has a conscience..

Either a 175 or a OP will work but the super aggressive OP machines wont hold on to a cotton bonnet which is why all of a sudden Micro's are more effective according to JG.

Get an assortment of pads from Encap Store for the "Mop" (Tuways, HOS/Glads, Blue Micro etc) and you're set.
