I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to advertise locally on Pandora. They now have a much larger access into automobiles. Here's a video I found on the advertising . I personally listen to it about an hour a day when I walk for exercise. I could see sharing a promo code to link over if they listen on their computer; or a link to auto-booking from the smart phone. Please share your thoughts or experiences if you have any ....

Mike - I think that they are changing their model to limit the free to a certain number of hours a day. I hear ads all the time.

You have to pay for it to not get ads, over 80% use the free app so hear ads. I am starting it shortly.

Pandora will tell you their listener base is growing, but they won't tell you that their customers also listen fewer hours than they used to, and the older, more affluent listeners are the ones buying the no ad service.

Ask the questions you would of any other live media before plunking down money, but my guess is you'd reach a tiny fraction of your market so the cost would also have to be minimal.

I agree Brian, you must ask the questions to get good data and it will vary by region and even within counties and zips. They do have all the data Socio-demographic data avail unlike IHeart which has no data to speak of other than # of unknown listeners.
