I just picked up a nice commercial Hoover Conquest, after a short time it's squealing, I think it will need a motor? It never stops and works great but just so noisy.
I see the motor is $130
Part # 43574106
Just wondering if there is a place parts are at a resonable price. I like Ivie
But don't see Hoover parts there. They had great wholesale pricing

Are you sure the belt isn't making the noise. Take a second and clean it out. I use a compressor to blow mine out. You can usually tell if a belts been slipping by the way it looks.

The previous owner said it starts after 20 to 30 min after you use it, I have not had a chance, he said the motor has no play, I was thinking I could take the belt off and then I would know if it's the brush bearings.

You know I see that the brush has a bearin that calls for lubricant
I used it for 40 min and not that bad, what a score under $40
