In all my 30+ years of carpet cleaning I've really never heard this before.
I cleaned a rental which was in great shape, very clean and well vacuumed, you'd never knew she had a cat.
When the girl turned the receipt into the office they ask if we did a pet treatment. I never had some one ask about a pet treatment, if there were no accidents or smell. I've had request for stains and odor removal.
Thinking about it, I believe that the wording Pet treatment is just an added scam for some cleaner's to make a few extra bucks. I once interviewed a potential employee, he told me they use to apply water and say they applied a fiber protection, customer's never know any better.

That's ballsy.

I had one similar a couple of weeks ago. I vacuumed and got very little cat hair or other debris out of it. The cleaners were in before me and did a very thorough vacuum. Cleaned it regularly and it came out nicely with no stains or odor. After I submitted the invoice, the property manager inquired if I had applied any pet treatments. He is asking because they require a pet deposit when the person signs the lease. They are just checking before they refund the deposit.

People are people everywhere
I think you may not know how to vacuum
It may be that our cleaning ladies are better than yours. Most that I work with do a pretty thorough job. One has a modified back pack vacuum with a beater bar attachment. She does all the edges, then the traffic areas. On a 2 bedroom condo, vacuuming after her, we're lucky to get a third of a bag full.

Pet treatment, flea treatment, deodorizer included in the pre-spray, AquaGuard aka water sprayed as protection, the list goes on with the things I've heard..

Or guys doing the "London fog" wet-n-jet, spray-n-pray, Oh it only takes me 25mins from the time I pull up to the time I leave 3bd, lv-hall-dinning room........:eekk: They proceed to hold the wand in the air and mist the carpet then do a dry stroke as fast as they could move it..

Welp, that backpack vac confirms my suspicions

You can’t watch a YouTube video? The only thing that wears out is the inner hose which is a breeze to replace. Parts available on Amazon. I swear… you people 🙄
No! The Shark Duo's the front brush roll always goes out first and there's no fixing it. It's something in the electronics. I've probably had this happen on 20 or more vacuums.

The Shark wheels are garbage. They always start to wobble and it becomes impossible to push. You can't take them apart to fix them either because of the way they are assembled and pressed together.

On the Vortex and Stratos models the power switch goes bad.

We clean our filters and brushrolls at the end of everyday. But we probably get 4 months if we are lucky out of a Shark.

However we still buy them because when they aren't broke, they work amazing. The tools and hose is easy to access, getting under beds is a breeze, and you can shut the front brushroll off for hardsurfaces.

Oh, I don’t know anything about the Duo.
Never owned one.
However, the Powered Lift Away has never given me any problems other than the hose to the head splitting after a couple of years. I used to just them away when that happens but now I replace the hose for $20.

I like the shark power lift away. Very easy to maintain and cheap enough to replace if there is a real issue. I use mine every day without issue. The power lift away makes vacuuming under beds very easy. I can fill the canister under one bed alone. Health and well being is part of our job as professional cleaners

Sharks are great if you use them once a week like most home owners, for a cheaper vacuum the nv80 professional lasted longer then the other version white vs grey.

Just be Damon buy one get one free or in his case three or four!

My workhorse all parts are replaceable, it's expensive for a plastic vacuum, and the filter system is it's only weak point.

It's not HEPA.

Sharks have more air flow.

I use my mother in laws riccar at home it's beast.

The bags are small.

The oreck commercial is great for wide open spaces but a penny can break the fan blade!

That's why I like my workhorse you can't kill it.

But it's fugly.

We use our Sharks several times a day and they’ll last a couple of years before the inner hose splits and then another year or two after I repair it. I think we must be uncommonly professional with our tools or you guys are simply too rough with yours.
Or both. Maybe Shark vacuums aren’t the best choice for yall.
