Phoenix Solution Amplifier

I bought a solution amp a couple of years ago to enhance the performance of my Phoenix 200 HT dehumidifiers. It came highly recommended and the technology made sense. I stopped using it because it was a PITA to set up correctly and the HT worked well with out the amp. Is anyone still using the solution amp on their dehu's? I don't hear much about the amp anymore and would be interested in any feedback on this expensive ($700 to $800) accessory.

The part I never understood was why didn't they just build it into the unit. Or would the costs just have driven purchasers away?
