Gonna clean tommorrow. The owner didn't like my idea about transporting to the dump.

I'll be okay to clean the back with HWE?

Okie Dokie it is your rug.

Hope the black lite pics show, will try and post afters.

Depends on the value of the rug.

You're going to have to flush that sucker. HWE will not make it new. It may improve the odor but it wont eliminate it.

Like I said flush it, and soak it with a good deodorizer. That's where the cost comes into play....

I'm sure the rug snobs will have a better say but that's my experience.

Owner payed $1100 for this rug. Not sure of the age. I would feel better if it could be pitwashed.

Beware, It is a hand tufted rug, That backing can come loose and remember the laytex holding it together becomes very weak when wet... I would spray the back down with MB's Skunk juice first, possibly let dry before cleaning back. Doing the same on the face side and would tack out both times..

What’s the owner’s expectation?

I’d wash it or turn the job down you can deodorize it but you're not going to get the odor out extracting it. the backing may separate in my mind it's a sanitation issue
