Pile lifting

I have been reading up on pile lifter threads. So many say they have relegated the pile lifter to the basement. Tell me what difference the pile lifter would make over & above vacuuming at, for lack of a better term, Ron Werner speed.

Tell me what difference the pile lifter would make over & above vacuuming

a vac can't dig impacted soil out of a loop pile carpet.
The brush isn't as agressive and it doesn't have the machine weight or power to accomplish that task like a pile brush
