I take a strand from my stainless steel carding brush and use it like a tee-jet cleaner, then blow it out with an air compressor. I use a 100 mesh inline filter at the quick connect. Very little problems with clogging.

If you go through all the trouble to remove that little thing, you might as well put a new one on

Sometimes you can blow it clear with 1500 psi blast
Hold trigger valve open when you engage the pump so don't blowthe 800psi valve

If that doesn't pop it, poke and blow simultaneously

I used craft store beading needles
Theycan be found much thinner than sewing needles

Poke n blow

If it clogs again shortly, pull the jet and flush the tool

yep, I used a sewing needle and air compressor, then I installed #100 mesh filter inline, but then I threw it the f.. away for better tools
