How much would you be willing to pay for such a device?

If a device was available for locking doors that would allow the door to remain opened for hoses any distance from 2" to as much as 12" and still be securely locked. You set the distance you want to have the door opened. This would allow you to work on large commercial accounts without worrying about watching for anyone entering while you were busy cleaning. No one could come in and steal things or rob you or whatever other reason they might come in when they should not.

For safety a quick release latch that can only be activated from inside. strong, durable, long-lasting.

Bane Clene use to have something like this, but it must be discontinued as I can't find it in their catalog

Yes, Bane did sell one. I talked to the Inventor @ a Bane convention. At the time, I thought the device looked pretty flimsly, and would fail with just a hit of a hammer. They may have been why it no longer is being sold.

Thx,
Dale

..... now, if someone made a "chipmunk" deterrent?

That's where the BIG money is.

Mike all you need to do is modify a simple HASP Lock....

Mount the Base to the outside floor of your "V"...
Then have a local welder..cut the latch arm....to the "length of height desired"
and weld in the extension...!

Our biggest security problem is bums trying to sneak in to sleep. They can be pretty wild, so we've fabricated several contraptions to secure different types of doors.

If I did night work, I'd be willing to pay for it, worth the piece of mind.

Since I am getting older and older, practically as we talk, I stay away from the night scene- too old.

For me, anything past 6:30 is deep and I mean DEEP night work.

We had one similar to the Bane device. Walmart still wouldn't accept it (1982 when stores closed at night). I had to keep a person outside, and they had a person watch the door, and their chain thru the door handle lock.

A hassle, but they always paid CASH the next morning. My how things have changed.

No kidding! You don't see your money for 90 days with walmart.
